SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, August 2, 2006, Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (E&S) (NASDAQ: ESCC) has filed on August 2, 2006 a SEC Form 8-K announcing that it has accepted the resignation of Lance Sessions as Acting Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary effective August 21, 2006. Mr. Sessions has resigned for personal reasons. His position as Acting CFO and Corporate Secretary will be filled by Paul Dailey.
Mr. Dailey is a CPA and is currently CFO of Spitz, Inc. (Spitz), which was acquired by E&S in April 2006. E&S intends to make a permanent appointment to the position of Chief Financial Officer as soon as possible.
David Coghlan, Chairman of the Board of E&S, said "we are sorry to lose Lance after his brief tenure as acting CFO and are grateful for his commitment and contributions during that time and in his prior roles for E&S. I should add that the Board believes, and has been assured by Lance, that his departure is purely for personal reasons and is not related to any issues with E&S' financial affairs.
"I am pleased that Paul Dailey has agreed to assume the role of Acting CFO until a decision is made regarding a permanent appointment. Paul has previously been CFO of a publicly traded company, the main business of which is now part of E&S, and is eminently qualified for the task."
