High definition Digital Planetarium System for Small Theaters
Introducing a breakthrough in image quality for small planetarium theaters. Digistar 3 SP2 HD nearly doubles the image resolution of our previous small planetarium system, offering big screen impact and stunning image quality in your small theater.
Digistar 3 SP2 HD uses two high-definition DLP video projectors, each with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution, 3500 lumens, and a contrast ratio up to 7500:1, resulting in 3 million pixels of detail on the dome. Because the system uses two separate projectors, it can easily integrate into theaters that have an opto-mechanical star projector in the center, providing seamless fulldome coverage without causing shadows from the optical projector.
For theaters without an optical star projector, the two video projectors can be installed next to each other in the center of the theater, providing seamless fulldome imagery. Of course Digistar 3 SP2 HD contains all of the features and ease-of-use that has made Digistar the world’s leading digital planetarium system for over twenty years.
