Digistar 3 DLP
High Brightness Multi-Projector Full-Dome System
DLP projectors offer improved color registration and image consistency over CRT projectors at the expense of black level. With today’s Dark Chip 2 technology, black levels produced by DLP projectors appear similar to blacks produced by SXRD technology, but not as black as those produced by CRTs. This system will require six projectors spaced around the base of the dome.
Digistar 3 DLP Specifications:
- Resolution per projector: 1400 x 1050 pixels (H x V)
- Brightness: 2,500 to 6,500 ANSI lumens
- Contrast Ratio: 2,500:1
- Visible Pixels on Dome: 6.6 million (six projectors)
DLP projectors project good resolution while offering excellent brightness, with less contrast than CRT projectors, but with all the exciting features of the Digistar 3 family.
