The newly introduced Sony SXRD projectors offer extremely high pixel resolution with exceptional brightness and a wide color gamut.
Digistar 3 SXRD Specifications:
- Resolution per projector: 4096 x 2160 pixels (H x V)
- Brightness: 5,000 or 10,000 ANSI lumens
- Contrast Ratio: >1,800:1
- Visible Pixels on Dome: 12.5 million (dual projectors)
Two projectors would provide roughly 13 million pixels on the screen, providing audiences with image quality that exceeds 35 mm film projection. The projectors were designed for digital cinema applications and utilize the latest advances in display technology.
Combined with the power of Digistar 3, the SXRD projectors provide a new level of image quality for the dome, second only to Digistar 3 Laser.
