The Space Theatre in the National Museum of Natural Science, Taichung was the first large planetarium in Taiwan.
Upon deciding to update the facility, the museum started its renovation with a single multi-purpose 8K Digistar 5 system in August 2014, with the renovation completed in June 2015.
